It was 25 years ago and there was no African-American Christian Art available in the little town of Florence S.C.   I'd become a member along with my two sons,  of a black Southern Baptist church.    The other kids knew I could paint from my son's shirts,   and that I had a sweet tooth.  They took up a candy collection and approached me with an offer I couldn't refuse.  "Miss Molly, we ain't neva seen a black Santy Klaus!! Would you paint us a black Santy Klaus? pleeze, we'll give you the candy?"  That was the beggnning, first, Rev became Santa, then The men's choir became bible characters,   than angels,   and eventually I painted the Bible and the whole church.  Discovered tanic acid could be blended with watercolors, for accurate skin color and started a revolution, ending "neckbone art and blackface art permanently!
